Here are some views from people who’ve visited the 'Yellow Pepper'

www.dinequick.com says – “The Yellow Pepper is a warm and cozy restaurant offering fine cuisine, and effective and friendly service. Cuisine - Modern Irish.”

www.travelpublishing.co.uk says – “Conveniently located close to the centre of this thriving Cathedral town, the Yellow Pepper Restaurant enjoys the ultimate customers' seal of approval - it's always busy.
The building itself has an interesting history. It was built in 1896 as McIntyre & Hogmarsh's shirt factory and it still retains some pleasing late-Victorian features such as the cast iron pillars, stone walls and original wooden floors.
It's not the interesting décor, however, that draws discerning diners here but the excellent cuisine. Everything on the menu is wholesome and appetising but the Yellow Pepper is renowned for its fish and meat dishes in particular.
On arrival, settle down in the bar for a pre-prandial drink as you study the menu and the well-chosen wine list with its offering of a good selection of international wines. Friendly and efficient staff add to the pleasure of dining here.
And after your meal, if you want to sample some traditional Irish music entertainment, the Yellow Pepper Restaurant is within easy walking distance of some lively pubs and bars.”

www.irelandwest.travel.ie - “This highly-recommended restaurant with full bar is housed in a 100 year-old converted shirt factory, with stone walls, pine tables and a genuine Victorian beam running through the main dining area. This buzzing restaurant is a real dining-out sensation. The extensive menu has many excellent fish, meat, poultry and vegetarian dishes at affordable prices. The wine list is well-selected and offers many interesting choices.”

A review on www.michaelohanlon.com/wcitiesweb.htm says - “One of the most recent wave of new restaurants in Letterkenny, this has become extremely popular. Visitors love The Yellow Pepper because of its unhurried pace and Irish-Donegal character.
The interior has a down-to-earth inviting look and feel, partly due to the wood-centred design and partly to the glowing lighting. A small bar fronts on to the open-plan eating area; and a pleasant touch is the owner’s presence: she often surfs the tables talking to customers and getting their opinions.
The starter menu is more than adequate in scope; the main dishes are appealing in style. Monkfish and real lasagne are two standouts, as is the medallions of beef. The wine list offers some rich reds at non-rich prices.
Visitors will also appreciate that they are not hustled through their meal
early.”

www.Goireland.com says – “The Yellow Pepper tries to cater for all tastes with a menu which has a wide selection of dishes. An extensive wine list is also available. You can choose from the a la carte menu or sample one of the daily specials on offer. Families are also catered for with a special children’s menu available.
Friendly staff and a full bar make the Yellow Pepper the ideal location for a relaxing meal.”

One Canadian couple, Al and Marsha, who have an entertaining on-line journal, gave this recommendation after a visit to Ireland in http://ourjournal.ca/recommended -
“The Yellow Pepper - Main Street, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, Ireland.
This is a charming restaurant located near the end of Main Street, the commercial centre of Letterkenny. They serve a typical mix of meals offered in this part of Ireland... fish, steak, lamb, and the usual assortment of Irish-type starters.
Their sirloin steaks are excellent as are their other mains. On the salad side, both Marsha and I thoroughly enjoyed the Walnut and Goat Cheese Salad Bowl. This is an excellent main course salad, and has the advantage of enabling one to feel virtuous for having ordered it.
Prices moderate, service good and always cheerful.”
